| So I never write on my xanga, and when I do I don't think anyone reads anyway. So, I probably am not going to write on xanga anymore! Goodbye!

| Last time I updated it was summer, and summer seems like a long time ago already! Life is way too busy, my long days are exhausting, but I'm getting used to them, hopefully I won't burn out before the end of the semester. I'm really enjoying some of my classes, especially my meteorological measurements! It excites me when I get to play with circuits and calibrate meteorological instruments, I got to callibrate a wind vane on Tuesday, it was very very exciting! Since school has started I have started biking alot more, I've been averaging around 8-10 miles each day, given that I don't have time to go work out, my travelling to and from school accounts for my lack of gym time. The Weather Center is an amazing building, and it is so cool to take classes in that building. Its not quite done yet, and sometimes theres cardboard on the floor or the main stairway is closed, so its kind of inconvient, but otherwise its amazing! If you ever have a chance to go see it, you should, all you need is your student ID to get in (theres security because of all the federal offices in the building). The dedication of the building is on September 29th, hopefully everything will be done! Theres going to be a brand new fountain in front of the weather center, I'll have to try it out when its up and running, its still being worked on at the moment. The retreat was amazing, it was wonderful to slow down for just a moment to relax and focus in on the really important things. It made me think alot about the relationships in my life and how much I truely cherish them. I can't wait for thanksgiving to come, I know its really far away, but I get to go up to Boston and see my whole family! My family from california and jersey and my parents are all going up to my uncles mansion up in lowell, ma. Its soo much fun because I spend 4 days with my family. I can't wait to see my grandfather and cousins, also my aunts and uncles, but mostly my grandpa and cousins. I'm really tired, I probably should go to bed, hmmmm... Goodnight!!! | | |
| So tonight I had a flash back to the days when I was five by playing pretty pretty princess! It was soo exciting. Leanne won the game but Devin definately looked the prettiest in his pink jewelery! Katie, Leanne and I had lots of fun taking pictures of him as well! You all will have to watch for the picture to be on his facebook profile!
My parents came to visit last week, it was nice just to see them. We went to a couple museums and the water park as we tried to escape the heat! They left on Friday morning and drove the 1200 miles back to North Carolina.
I'm kind of scared, but also very excited about starting school next week. I think I'm just ready for the semester to start.
Hope you all have a great first week of school next week!

| I am really bad at this updating thing, I think the last couple of
entries started with "So I haven't updated in a while." But the truth
is there isn't a whole lot to update about. I went to Arlington/Dallas a
couple weeks ago, that was loads of fun! I saw Molly and her Mom, we
walked around Fort Worth for a while (since I took the train in), went
out to lunch, swam in the pool, and I got a home cooked meal and a
really good cake, I think it was lime white chocolate moose cake, it
was really good!! I also went and saw the play Devin had been touring
with, it was really good and I'm really glad that I made it down to see
it. During the week its been pretty bland: work, school, work, home. Although I have to say that I enjoy having a routine. I
worked during the Fourth of July weekend for a couple hours, however I
did get to have "Alex" time, which was absolutely wonderful. I sat at
the pool sweating and reading a book, caught up on some of my crafts, and I watched
a movie.
Last Monday I went and saw the movie CARS, if you haven't seen it you should its quite humorous.
On the Fourth of July Devin and I went hiking at Lake Thunderbird early
in the morning, it was quite and peaceful, and then the rain started to
come down, and needless to say we were wet! It almost seemed like a
repeat of my 18th birthday, hiking in the rain!!! Even though you are wet, it keeps things exciting!!!
Hope all is well for everyone this summer!

So I'm going to the Dallas/Fort Worth area June 24th and I'm taking the train, would anyone be willing to drive me to the train station in Norman to catch my 8:49am train??? | | |
